World Open Services R&D and BelCash Lab have been at the forefront of digital finance innovation since 2019, spearheaded by Vince Mountaga Diop, a renowned figure in the fintech space. Diop has notably led the successful deployment of Hellocash, a mobile money platform that has significantly impacted the Ethiopian market. Hellocash has facilitated over 300 million transactions, amounting to a total of $7 billion in less than six years.


Launched in 2022, HellOOnet represents a leap forward, embodying the Platform as a Service (PaaS) model. It has continuously integrated cutting-edge features in the trading domain, offering a comprehensive digital trading and financing solution for the average citizens and the SMEs. The platform serves the entire value chain, from end users and farmers to retail shops, distributors, aggregators, and processors, effectively catering to the diverse needs of different marketplaces. It supports both online transactions and in-store pickups, incorporating micro-financing options like Buy Now Pay Later schemes.


A key aspect of HellOOnet is its inclusivity of corporations and financial institutions, providing them with a unique marketplace. Customers have access to a prepaid digital wallet that can be linked to their existing bank accounts. Merchants benefit from a digital earnings wallet that connects to their preferred accounts. Additionally, the platform facilitates the creation of digital credit cards, enabling end users and businesses alike to extend supplier credit through an advanced AI-driven scoring platform. All transactions are processed and reconciled in real-time.


HellOOnet also aims to bridge the gap for the diasporas through Visa/Mastercard integrations and is actively working towards enabling cross-border transactions between businesses, particularly SMEs. 


To optimize its deployment, HellOOnet has established four main types of partnerships:

Having demonstrated its efficacy primarily in East Africa, HellOOnet is now poised to expand its services globally, promising to be part of the digital trading and financing revolution for the underserved.
